Having actually been shot by a .25ACP (upper inner thigh) the caliber is a punk-ass round. I was the victim of a drive-by at a range of maybe 12-15 feet. Didn't even know I was hit til somebody pointed out I was bleeding. Bullet went in roughly an inch and I literally squeezed it out like a big zit. The EMTs just washed the wound and put triple A on it and bandaged it. Cops took the bullet.
I put more faith in .22 LR CCI Stingers than even a .25ACP HP round. Least those Stingers come out at a higher velocity and widen greater than any .25 round. (I know first hand, physically cut a few squirrels almost in half with Stingers.)
And the .22WMR is even more potent. Equal to the 5.7 round at under 50 feet.
But admittedly the Colt Pocket 25s are a sexy lil beastie. Beats anything by Raven or Jennings. Those are 'Bic Lighter' guns, good for a couple hundred rounds and just toss em.
